Mara Hoffman S/S 2013

The Mara Hoffman show was by far the most highly attended show I have been to thus far! As soon as I walked through the doors to Lincoln Center I was met by the tremendous line to check in for tickets. Inside, the room was abuzz with excitement as we waited for the show to start (which like just about every other show at fashion week was running late). When the show finally started, Hoffman did not disappoint.

Three girls playing ukuleles introduced Hoffman’s tropics-inspired collection. The intricate patterns done in vibrant colors and the palm leaf accents in the hair carried the theme throughout the show. There were quieter moments in the show though. Hoffman occasionally broke up the stream of Technicolor with neutral separates and pieces in cream and soft teal with smaller monochromatic placement prints.

My favorite piece from the collection was this black dress with a chartreuse print on the front. I would wear this piece in a minute!
