Every fashion week the runway sparks trends that takeover the world and 2012 fall Mercedes- Benz Fashion Week was no different. Nearly every show took my breath away; however, some suffocated with their monotonous and over-done collections. Ultimately though, I was impressed with each designs innovation and creativity, allowing for a versatile week.
Last year we were immersed in mix-and-match prints, furs, splashes of crimson, floor length skirts, and smart pant suits. This year I hope to be flabbergasted with fresh, new, and brilliantly crafted clothing. I expected effortless elegance, while hoping for creative textures. I also hope designers would extenuate detail and accessories, since I was pleased to find most, bid.

At this year’s fall 2012 Fashion Week hats, gloves, and fur accents were thrown into the mix making for exciting ensembles. Embroidery and fine attention to detail proved the dexterity of this fall’s designers. Texture was a big hit this season, as knit tweeds and leather made a fashionable presence.

Designers weren’t afraid to push the limits of color either. I was glad to see that this fall is not just going to be dark colors. Blues, tangerines, grapey purples, and money greens will keep this fall’s clothing lively, while still autumnal with their wool textures.

As the leaves begin to fall, hats will be atop everyone’s heads along with leather gloves completing each outfit. I love that this year I won’t see everyone in the same gray, black, and brown either. Designers gave us a wide array of outfits to choose from being that we can experiment with vivacious color, interesting texture, or honing in on the detail of embroidery. There are no excuses this year, as there is something for everyone.
