Presented on the 23rd floor of the Crown Building in NYC, Helen Yarmak’s collection made for a head scratching twist to a summer collection.  Yarmak’s inspiration stemmed from fur and love citing, “These two values share exactly the same set of unique qualities such as genuineness, passion, care, comfort, warmth, beauty, tenderness and the joy of possession.
As the famished models were downtrodden by the heaviness of mink, fox, weasel, and raccoon furs, I had to ask myself if she was aiming to add to summer heat.  Despite my confusion, the furs were absolutely, impeccably stunning!  Quite the bourgeois, slim line cigarette, vodka on the rocks scene, models gallantly strutted about the room.
Dressed in a red lamb gillet with red dyed silver fox trim, emerald green dyed silver fox on chiffon long coat, and black mink and silk rosette tee shirt among many other opulent designs, the room’s guests congregated in awe.
As Yarmak lit her second cigarette, her high-brow guests fluttered around the room in quiet conversation.  One fabulously dressed Dolly Parton doppelganger asserted her motto to me, “Darling, I say just turn up the air conditioning.”  An undeniably gorgeous collection along with entertaining spectators made for a bourgie afternoon.
