A very cool, loungy atmosphere of a social gathering reigned at the J.Lindeberg presentation at Pier 59 on the West Side of Manhattan. Fashionistas, with lime cocktails in hand, walked in and out of the presentation room alternating views of beautiful clothing with a beautiful sunset. Collection consisted of 18 looks of mens and womens wear pieces. A Swedish brand popular among golfers, JL presented a collection with an evident vibe of glamour and casual comfort.
Men wore casual versions of a suit with cropped skinny pant, unbuttoned collars and suede shoes. Some wore combinations of a tough biker-style jacket and proper cropped pants. Looks were masculine and steered towards European chic. Women didn’t stay behind in glamour: a standout piece was a modern version of a 50s style black dress in the center of the presentation. Featuring some of the season’s popular trends: sheer mesh fabric and wide pleating; the dress also included an oversized glossy belt, making it not your typical LBD.
Notable colors of the presentation included an array of navy shades featured in several head-to-toe menswear looks and golden amber. Makeup was neutral and hair presented a slightly modern take on Old Hollywood.
